Steve was assigned to COMNAVAIRPAC in the mid 70's, where he was assigned the task of creating a anti-drug unit. This was the birth of the first Narcotic Interdiction Teams(NIT).

The gent on the left rear was a RCMP Sgt who was there to learn our tech for training dogs. The Officer in the middle was Capt. Mel Moore, ex-POW.
I am on the right with Bourbon as my Partner. The flashlight in the sailors pocket was loaded with Pot......!!!

Each Team consisted of 5 to 7 people and a dog and handler. There were, at one time, 10 Teams.
